Other management software will have
similarly named fields. Use a little common sense and you can probably
figure it out. If not send me an email and we can work on it. -AL

How to name your image files:
Each file name must include the first 4
letters of your Last Name plus a two digit sequence, the title of the
photo and the file extension.
Example:
John Smith submits 2 files, "Bird of
Paradise", and "The Child", in a JPG format. He would name them as
follows:
SMIT01-Bird
of Paradise.JPG
SMIT02-The Child.JPG
Please
put all files in a ZIP archive named per below:
YourName-month-year.ZIP
Example:
JohnDoe-January-2007.ZIP
You may also upload files here:

Please use the UserID and Password that was emailed to you. If you do
not have the information please click on a contact link.
What file formats and
resolutions can I submit?
Any standard image format, any
resolution. Image size should be 1024 x 768 or larger. JPEGs are
preferred. Those of you with humongous mega pixel rigs need to scale
down to no more than 3000 x 2000 just so the files are easier to deal
with. We will scale them down to 1024 x 768 for the web anyway. Please
no native Photoshop, Paint Shop or other non standard or program
specific formats.
JPG, TIFF, PNG, BMP are the
most common.

What if I shoot film or
slides?
Most processing labs offer
images on CD for a couple of bucks more. For your already processed
stuff, find a friend with a scanner. Some modern scanners often have the
facility to scan negatives and slides too. Your local lab may also offer
a service. You might even get out your spouses’ point and shoot digital
camera, set it for close up and just take a copy photo. Do a white
balance preset shot of a blank white piece of paper in the same light
and the colors will turn out great. See your camera docs under White
Balance. It’s a digital world out there – y’a gotta start sometime!
When do I submit my images?
No later than the 2nd Tuesday of the
month. Images submitted after the 2nd Tuesday will be
published in the following month.
